I agree with Bush that we should not pull

June 15, 2006

out prematurely from Iraq until the situation is stable over there. No sense in leaving now when the job is half done. If we were to leave right now the chances of the current Iraqi government staying in power would not be good. God knows what will happen if that government were to fall.

Then watch some one the likes of Saddam Hussein or worse achieves power. Then we would have to go back there and do it all over again at the cost of more lives. Granted there is no guarantee that the current government will stay in power to begin with. But at least lets give them all the chances to do so. Better to do it right the first time, than to muck it up and have to do it all over again.

Rebuilding a nation takes time but if done right could reap the benefits for years to come. Imagine it, a stable Iraq, in the the Middle East. Can it be done? Our interests are at stake here. So lets get the job done right. The source material for the commentary in this post comes from this article. That article was written by NEDRA PICKLER, Associated Press Writer.
