At some point I think

June 4, 2006

we are going to have to take stock with Iran. Especially if Iran keeps up with it's Nuclear enrichment program. The Iranian goverment has mentioned that they are doing this for the peaceful use of nuclear power.

Noting Irans history of terrorist violence though I for one would not want that country to be able to produce nuclear weapons. In a god forbid worst case scenario a nuclear bomb were to "fall into the wrong hands" we would all be up the creek without a paddle.

So far I like Preisident Bush's attempt at offering an extensive package of goods to Iran in an effort to persaude that government's leaders not to go along with their nuclear program. But I do hope that President Bush and our allies are prepared to do what ever it takes to stop Iran should that country refuse the package offered.

The only hope I have for Iran is that the younger generation 30 and younger will start flexing a little political muscle. I can’t confirm this stat but I think that they are approaching the majority of Irans population. They tent to be more tolerant and progressive.

My fear is that if we start banging some heads in Iran the younger generation will become polarized with the Mullas.

It’s a mess and we will be damned if we do anything and damned if we don’t

    Good post!
